Good morning beautiful W3,
Do you believe that the Universe talks to you? I do. She is always there, whispering … nudging … poking … shoving lol. Yes, sometimes she shoves a little, but it’s always with love, and always because I refused to hear the whisper.
Remember I told you I had joined a gym? Yes, I want to increase my strength, my flexibility, my balance and energy. All things I need to rock my 50’s! (which are coming fast).
I am not going to lie, it’s not fun every time. Nope. It’s not. Actually, sometimes as a result of time at the gym it’s downright painful.
And you know what my usual response was to discomfort, pain, over-exertion? Yep, you guessed it – to soldier through! To push past it all because gosh, I had things to tick off my to-do list! I know you know what I’m talking about … because I know there are many of you who have similar behaviours that I did.
But I don’t do that anymore. Now, when a migraine is settling in (which I used to get monthly and now might experience once a year), or my rotator injury is screaming for attention, or I’m just plain exhausted … I make a new choice.
The choice I make is me.
We have all seen the studies telling us that multi-tasking is a myth. Or at the very least, that it is bad for your health.
And this article from 2013, while lengthy, is a great testament to Why Our Brain Needs More Downtime with research on naps, meditation, and nature walks, some of our favorite activities!
The truth is, I don’t think it is that we don’t know all this. It is the guilt and shame that we have attached to even the IDEA of taking a break.
I have always said that guilt is a wasted emotion. It’s a self-imposed prison we put ourselves in even though the door is unlocked and wide open. We can step out at any time.
The response to self-inflicted guilt over not “doing” enough, “having” enough, “being” enough? Make a new choice.
Fill up YOUR cup to overflowing so you have extra to share. Make your health in all its’ forms – physical, mental, emotional, spiritual … a top priority in your life.
One of the projects we are working on will help you do this W3. Wild and Wise YOU will be filled to the rafters with women just like you – those who have figured out the secrets to their optimum “health” in all its’ forms, and how it has contributed to massive abundance of all kinds in their lives …
AND women who are looking for that path to follow, worn by the footsteps of women before them so you don’t have to start from scratch, you don’t have to go through all the trial and error and missteps.
You will be in community with women who have been where you are, and women who are where you want to be. It’s called Wild and Wise YOU and it’s the newest Wild and Wise Project we are working on, to be launched in the new year.
If you think you would be interested in joining us in Wild and Wise YOU I would love if you would click the link and fill out the form so we know it’s something you want to be a part of. And send the link to other Wild and Wise Women you know, we really want this to be great and we need your voices to make it so.
You know me W3, I always want to hear from you and have you involved as we build and grow any of our projects! You are the reason they exist after all!
So on that note of filling my cup, no guilt, and making a new choice, I am going to be taking all next week to re-fuel … my mind, my spirit, my soul, my body.
It’s been a very busy few months as you know and that is the gift I am giving myself. Refilling MY cup, so I have that much more to share with you.
You will still be hearing from me W3 – that DOES refuel me. And I hope you’ll send me your love and energy next week, as I will be sending mine to you.
PS. Thank you to all our Sisterhood tribe members! We will be shipping your gift boxes to you next week – don’t forget to take pictures and video that we can share with the artisans who created your gifts. It’s an across the world gratitude project. I’m so thrilled you’re a part of it!
PPS. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on our upcoming live group workshop in November on Recovering From Loss and Finding Your Way, join the Sisterhood and see the Facebook post to learn about our special guests and how to be a guest yourself!
