rich and famous

I Don’t Need To Be Rich or Famous …

“I want to live my life without stress and worries, “I want to live my life without stress and worries, I don’t need to be rich or famous, I just want to be happy.”

Happy Saturday Morning Beautiful W3,

I came across the quote above this morning, and it got me thinking and I wanted to talk to all of you about it (because that’s what I do).
Do you feel this way?

Or, do you feel that fame and riches are the path (or “a” path) to happiness.

There is no “wrong” answer. There is no shame in desiring fame, or riches – just as there is no shame in desiring happiness. (I promise you there are defenders of each side of EVERY contrast) 🙂

As a wild and wise woman, I just feel that this is worth unraveling.

As we increasingly become a world where:

  • fame is actually possible from an iphone video made in your car
  • pre-teens are accumulating riches by recording themselves playing video games
  • we are marketed to every day that we all can build an empire in just a few hours a day from a lounger on the beach.

(You’ve seen those webinars, I know you have!) 😉

I know there are instances where we have just plain lost our way.

The adrenaline shot of even 5 seconds of “fame” masks the ache for meaning that is clawing inside of us.

The race to fill our bank account cloaks the craving to fill our soul.

The willingness to throw our last dollars at just the faintest glimmer of hope (remember those webinars?) distracts us from making deposits into what is really most empty … and it’s not our bank account is it? That’s just a reflection of other things …

What if we threw the whole things upside down?  Because here’s what I believe …

I believe that by finding the meaning in our lives – the purpose, the passion – we find happiness (and sometimes fame and riches too)

I believe that when we listen to our soul’s whisper and heed her song – we find happiness (and sometimes fame and riches too)

I believe that when our cup is full – when our hearts, our self-love, self-worth, self-esteem, sense of SELF is being contributed to every day – we find happiness (and sometimes fame and riches too).

And I believe that they can live together peacefully (fame, riches, and happiness) if that is what you want.

I haven’t seen a whole lot of examples out there W3, I am clear about that … but that’s where we come in. The Wild and Wise Woman … we have this power I believe that.

And that’s what I’m passionate about, and why it’s what I teach.  And we will begin to BE the examples even more strongly of what’s possible.

But I’m curious … what do YOU think?

You Are SO Loved,

Christa xo

PS. Don’t forget to join us in the Wild and Wise Summer Book Club. Discussion are beginning the first week of July – and participants are already getting started. Everyone is so excited!

PS. Also, Wild and Wise Live is coming up June 28! THIS is one of the topics on the table … fame, riches, happiness – can they co-exist? What are some steps to achieving them? What do we TRULY want our legacies to be? How can we simplify this overwhelming world …. and more.
NOW … go out and enjoy your Saturday!! 😉
