Good morning beautiful W3,
Has this ever happened to you? Have you ever looked at a photo of yourself from years ago and thought ‘damn, I looked amazing!’ and then regretted the hours and days and weeks and years you spent then trying to change your Self or wishing you looked different?
It’s happened to me for sure.
What about this one? Have you ever looked at another wild and wise woman – maybe walking down the street, in line at the bank, at an event, or online and thought ‘she shouldn’t be wearing that …’ or ‘she’s ________, or ________, or _______.
Or … have you shared negative body image thoughts and beliefs with your daughters, your sisters (in every definition of the word), your friends? To your own SELF as you looked in the mirror?
I watched this video today and all that came up for me over and over is the Wild and Wise Pledge #nomore. We have the control over this! I LOVE, of course, all the support that Demetria Obilor received, and that she is in a conscious space to not be impacted by the negative silliness … but
What IF W3? What if this was another of those small shifts that we pledge to make in our lives from the ‘Wild and Wise Sisterhood Rules’? Care to change the world with me? Because we can you know … and it is shifts like these …
ONLY Raise Each Other Up
NEVER Tear Each Other Down
That will change the world we live in. I know it.
And let’s add on that second part we talked about ….
ONLY Raise Your Self Up
NEVER Tear Your Self Down
Think you could do it? Yea? Take the Pledge!! Don’t know what the heck I’m talking about? Get your copy of the ‘10 Ways to Inspire Change‘ Guidebook and Journal. There’s a ton of information in there and it’s free of course.
But more important than it being free (which yes, IS great) … is that it is filled with simple ways we can each make a shift to live Wild and Wise, to support our Wild and Wise Sisters, and to change the world! That’s MORE great!
Copy this phrase and insert your name:
I, ____________________________, commit to inspiring change in our world byrefusing to say negative or hurtful things, or behave in negative or hurtful ways, tomy Self or to other women. #nomore #ITookthePledge #standingwithwildandwisesisters
Include your photo, because that just makes it better! This Demetria Obilor video of her commentary on the incident is a top note this week.
Wild and Wise Quote of the Day: “You know, when you look a little different, people think it’s OK to talk to you a little different, … We don’t have to put up with this, alright? And we’re not going to.” Demetria Obilor
That’s right W3 … we don’t have to and we’re not going to.
